Sylvie’s Love

About Sylvie’s Love; this painting was created after viewing the movie which I felt was so moving.  One of the scenes I most loved was when he was on stage playing a song along with the band.  I wanted to capture the thoughtful expression as he seemed lost in a world of music and love. The blue colors of his tux, the black collar against the soft white shirt allowed one to see that same shade of blue in his bow tie. The Saxophone and it parts of gold, silver, black high-lighted the reflecting lights of the unseen spotlights of mixtures of greens and its uneven white places.
